EFCC, Recovers Jewellries Worth Million Of Naira From Residence Of Inlaw To Ex-NSA Abdullahi Mukhtar (PHOTOS)



The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has recovered jewelry cost millions of Naira from the house of one Akka Babba Danagundi, Brother in-law to a former national security adviser to the late President Umar Musa Yar'aduwa. Major General Abdullahi Sarki Mukhtar.

Mukhtar was NSA between 2006 and 2010.

The jewellery was found in a fireproof safe hidden in a house belonging to one Akka Baba Danagundi No.375, Gwangwazo, quarter of Kano Municipal  Kano State.

About 50 documents in respect of landed properties bearing the same name of the former NSA and his wife Binta Sarki Mukhtar were also discovered.

The documents was sequel to an intelligence report that huge some of Money including foreign currencies were hidden in the premises.

During the operation Aiko Fire proof safe, and seven other suspect including the house owner Danagudi were arrested and brought to the EFCC's kano zonal Office were their statement was taken.

On arriving at the commission's Kano zonal office, the safe was opened and several jewellery such as necklace. Wristwatch and 50 certificate of Occupation for properties in Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, were found.

Among the jewellery recovered there were 50 Wrist watches, including 3 gold watches, also, 37 pieces of Gold weighing about 1,907.9g and another pieces of Fashion Jewellery were found..


All the suspect arrested during the operation were later released on administrative bail.
