Fast And Pray To End Recession In Nigeria.


A Christian cleric, Rev. Fr Paul onah, has urged Nigerians to use the Lenten season to fast and pray for God's intervention in the efforts to tackle the country's economic challenges.

Onah made the call during Sunday mass in St Augustine's Catholic Church ombi 1 in lafia.

The Catholic priest described continued fasting and prayers by Nigerians as the the only solution to salvage the nation from its chlkenges.

"Our fasting, prayers and charity will bring God's mercy upon us so that Nigerican can be great again".

"Lenten season is also a season to give arms to the needy and the less privileged people in the society in order to improve their standard of living.

"It is a season to pray and fast, to seek and reconcile; with God. A season to show love, affection, charity and extend the hands of friendship to the needy and less privileged in our society". He said.

The parish priest urged all Nigerians to pray for peace and unity of the country throughout the season.

"Let us all continue to live in peace, to be law abiding and to shun all negative tendanciea at all times in the interest of peace and national development. Onah said.
